THE BOOM-BOOM

It's been another week of extremes on the planet. Can I just reach out and say...big exhale. Count down. One. Two. Three. 2020 has been a roller coaster ride and it seems we are not done yet. I leave politics to the "experts," but will say this, I am super proud of everyone for staying positive through chaos and kudos to the younger generation for standing up for their core values, using their voices and for facing their fears to promote positive change.

I am so excited to announce a new release VOLGA BLACK. It arrives tomorrow (24th) $1.99 special ends at midnight on June 25th. Midsummer evening is the timeline in the story as well, so you can read in "real time" tomorrow as Tania explores the dark side of Warsaw and tries to understand an eerie urban legend that arrives and has haunted the streets for decades.

A million thanks for my first Amazon review, VOLGA BLACK 5***** "For party girl, Tania, the night out at Paradise Beach in Warsaw will take an evil turn the American might soon regret. The dancing melee has started, fueled with copious amounts of slushy cocktails and shots. When a sinister black Volga emerges from the river, wreaking havoc on the beach as it powers its deadly way through the crowd, Tania is stunned, the lethal scene frozen in her mind. Her super DJ friend (and sometimes lover), Hans, reveals to her a bit of Polish folklore she won’t soon forget.

Author Krall takes us through a wild, mystical tour on the dark side through the streets of Warsaw. The city descriptions are visually detailed so that you feel you’re touring the city—but with that sinister car, do you really want to be there? This is a thrill filled tale steeped in folklore with a modern, sinister twist that leaves you reeling, blurring the lines between legend and reality. Fasten your seatbelts—an escapist read from the ordinary, with an ending you won’t forget, highly recommended!"

This expanded short story story isn't for everyone, as it's experimental, dark and supernatural. If you love Stephen King's "Christine" or Quentin Tarantino's tough, edgy film style, you will totally get what I'm doing. No fluffy bunny this time, perhaps the next one? There was so much research behind the expanded short story that I included a bibliography. It was amazing to me how much traditional folklore seems to advise how history is perceived and it certainly enriched this contemporary story.

It means more than I can say to have readers who not only reach out to tell me that they look forward to my new projects and spend their hard earned money to purchase them, but who also take the time to help me gain visibility with reviews. Thank you to each one of you for walking with me on my writing journey. It's been my dream since I was a little kid and you are an important part of it. If you are a subscriber (The Literati) and cannot afford a copy, but you wish to read it, please reach out to me and I would thrilled to send you one.

Isn't it ironic that a Devil Car driving around feels less scary than real life? Just sayin'

Take care out there and look out for some yummy, homemade Polish recipes in the next few blogposts to help use up your extra cucumbers and cabbage from the garden. Take care out there, stay flexible and keep your chin up.
