Writing Prompts and Character Building
I bet you are just like me and get story ideas from just walking around outside.... No?
You must be joking! Seriously though, I talk to writers all the time who have a tough time getting into the depth of what really makes a story shine.
I don't have a magic wand or an espresso machine sitting on my desk...Hey wait a minute!
What I do have is this...
I am not online all the time, nor do I watch a lot of TV. I also read every single day and write as well. Media allows the world to come in. Do yourself and your writing a favor.
Take your social media off your phone and device except for one. Go do your thing once or even twice a day. Then take an adventure. It can be as simple as reading a new magazine or sifting through old photos. Just stop bombarding yourself with messages online and I promise you. That astounding imagination you had as a kid will return.
In fact, I may go outside and do some cloud watching today.
